It's been so long since I was down there. It's not the first time we've been dragged from our second home though. No doubt the Journeys will need to be retaken when we get down there, but that's alright. We know how it works, the lessons have been learnt.

I miss it though. The darkness of the Carvern, the carvings in the city, leaping down the Great Stairs or even diving into the dizzying star fissure. I suppose I don't miss Minkata... I could never cope with it there. I would rather play Kadishes horrible 'time travelling' trick of an age over and over than do Minkata. What a mess.

But we're hoping to get back down there soon. We're preparing. The Guilds. It's so strange but it seems that after all this time they'll get a chance to be involved. It's better than I'd date hope and I'm not even part of one of the guilds. I just fell the Call and I came. We all want the same thing really, to be able to study and rebuild. Lessons were learnt, let's hope.

Kerath's Arch

We'll get back again and when we do, my bags will be packed and I'll be in that desert by the cleft before you know it.

It's been a while, but I've not been able to get to the cavern lately. Things have been a bit hectic for me. I hope to spend some of this week down there or at least in some of the ages checking things out.

Er'cana has finally been released to us and this is good news. First of all, I just can't resist taking a ride on that tram up and down the rails! It might be childish but it's sure fun! The factory isn't too interesting, but the view from the top is breathtaking. I've made some pellets and I think they were fairly good ones, they made the lake water glow anyway. I assume that's a good sign. Also picked up a new page for my Relto book here! The mushroom plants are gorgeously alien and my Relo is now adorned with them.

I heard there were Bahro appearing around the City and in the ages lately, but I haven't run into one yet. The ongoing war is about to get messy I'm sure. Phil Henderson, long presumed dead is back with us and Sharper is running off hunting. Just like old times, only we're facing a crisis. There are good Bahro and bad Bahro, just as there are good and bad Humans. It's all about choices. We will have to make a choice.

The other newest age released to us is a fun age. No-one really quite knows what game was played there but it's pretty neat. The age is called Jalak and it has some awesome scenery. Those buildings around the edge seem to be observer stations for whatever game is played on the floor i'm standing on here. Using my KI, I make the field raise, lower, shuffle, turned a barried around the edge on and off and made things like that glowing cube appear. Pretty neat!

Minkata. I think this is possibly my most hated age as it combines everything I hate. Math to find the caves (I suck at math), bright sun (two of them!), sand (I loathe sand!), sand storms (thank goodness for D'ni goggles), the sound and sight of which make me feel sick with alarming rapidity. That and it makes it so incredibly easy to get lost! I can't count the times I had to Relto out of that age because I was hopeless lost in the sand. The place looks like the surface of the moon almost, but with gravity and storms... Gah.
Minkata
But I finally got Minkata completed. And I never did find those hiking boots! I don't really want to go back, the place makes me throw up.

Last night it was the fortnightly D'ni Cocktail Party, hosted by the lovely Donahoo. I've not been able to go to the part for quite some time, so I was really glad to find the place was really fun last night. It was great. The guys sure know how to bust a move these days. Of course the new popular dance for us girls we decided to call the Grape Stomper as that's kinda what it looks like we're doing! Watch one of us throw our back our doing it though! Hee hee.

D'ni cocktail party
The light garden makes a great place to party, especially if someone heads up onto the bridge and turns the lights on and off. I look a bit daft here (blue shirt, red jeans, hands in the air), I hope I didn't smack Doobes (guy to my right in the black jacket and blue jeans) with my arms too many times!

It's all been happening too fast. Rosette, killed in the collapse. Wheely... they were so close and then... we lost her too. To a Bahro it seems. On purpose or not, we don't know. We do know it seemed to be screaming 'Noloben!' before the end though. A poor ResEng saw the scene first. Poor guy. And poor Mr Enberg. He was last seen linking to Descent muttering Dr Watson's name. I hope he's careful down there.

And Sharper! Yikes, he was nearly killed in Neligahn! By Bahro! And... saved by Bahro. We're in the middle of what looks like a civil war. What worries me is that one suggestion could be correct... what if this is some proxy war between Yeesha and Escher? That makes me shiver.

Do I wear my Yeesha shirt? Is it a good sign to those non-hostile Bahro of our intent to be friends? Is it a marker to the Bahronoir (which I shall tentatively call the Bahro who seem intent on killing some of us) that I should be next? I have no idea anymore... Maybe a Cautious Optimism shirt would be more appropriate!

Minkata. Mintaka? What's the new age called? I can't remember. I'll have to check it out soon.

I've been trying to paint the Cavern. It's going alright, but I think I need some more reference. I'll have to take my painting things to the Cavern with me at some point.

Seems like they've found Wheely at least. Her KI is active. Hope she's ok. Not many news updates yet. Ae'gura main instance is closed for now. They were tracing the KI's. That and it doesn't seem safe.

Lot of discussion about whether that Bahro on the top of the library caused the tremors and collapses or was shrieking to warn us away. I want to believe we can be friends with the Bahro. I'd love to be friends with them. The trouble is... understanding them. I wonder if they understand us?

As a complete aside, I heard someone slapped Nick White o.O;

How I regret making such a flippant statement about wearing hard hats in the City. New cracks have appeared, there have been quakes and collapses. A bahro was even seen on hte Library roof. They were screaming at people after the rumbles and quakes. I'd like to think they were screaming 'Run! Get out!'. I want them to be our friends.

They've closed Ae'gura for now. It's not safe. Wheely and her friend Rosette went missing after looking at new cracks in the library. Their KI's are reportedly turned off, but I'll add them to my KI list anyway. If they show up, then I'll be able to try trace them.

Gonna have to start wearing my hard hat again.

Well! The pods are finally done. Darn Tetsonot was cold. My legs ached like heck, but I felt a lot better after a change of clothes and a good dance in the city!
Dancing in the City
The dancing warmed me up and I sure felt a lot better to be back with people. I've not been worried about the Cavern falling on my head for years now. I remember I used to wear a hard hat all the time when I first came! Heehee. Those were the days.

The pods are now all done. Neligahn is a great age, I love looking out of the windows at the jungle, but I do worry at the reports about them finding so many dead animals. I have seen fireflies and nothing else at all, although others have seen Urwins. What on Neligahn is eating all the other animals?

Dereno, great place but freezing! Literally. I love looking out over the ice scapes and I'm glad I took my D'ni goggles! It's sure bright out there! I also love looking at the underwater windows and seeing all the cool underwater life. Those big fish are great!

Pods
Payiferen? I can never spell that age's name. Desert. Beautiful sunlight, looks a bit sandy out there though, would definately need the goggles if I was going outnight. nice place to sit and wait for a portal though. Nice and warm! A big relief after Dereno.

Tetsonot. I gave my opinions on this place. I don't want to go back again.

I'm writing this by flashlight. Mostly to keep myself from being so scared. I'm freezing too. I linked into the pod to find myself in darkness, waist deep in cold water. There was water dripping from above and the pod... it's making this noise. The metal is creaking and popping as though under great pressure. I almost panic linked out right away. I walked forwards carefully. Got a nice bruise forming where I walked into the Nexus book pedastal. I was glad to find that there. I got my bearings and backed up until I found the power switch and turned it on. I can't say it helped much.
Tetsonot
The emergency lighting is intermittened and a creepy red. It blinks on and off. It's giving me a headache. But at least I can see where I'm going now. I've climbed up onto the second floor and I'm sitting up there, out of the water. My jeans are soaked and my legs ache. At least I'm wearing a warm top. I don't want to get hypothermia here. If I'm waiting much longer for the portal I'm going to say screw it and head off to Gira to warm up.

The windows are covered here. I'm not sure if that's reassuring or not. I assume it's some sort of safety measure to stop the pod from buckling. It sounds like there's great pressure on it. We much be underwater. There is a sort of blue light creeping out from around the window covers. I'm not sure I want to see what's out there. What if we're balanced, about to fall off a precipice? What the heck happened to this pod anyway? The DRC says it's safe enough, they released it afterall, but... I don't know. The water, despite the leak, doesn't seem to be rising. Must be emergency pumps keeping it from flooding more I guess.

Darn it all. I've dived into the star fissue, made kamikaze leaps from the rock pillars in Gahreesen and walked into dark Bahro doors, into the unknown, but sitting here is creeping me out! I'm scared of this place. I keep fingering my Relto book nervously.

I hope the portal shows soon.

Well you know what they say about listening to running water for a while, it really makes you want to go! It's true, it really does. That and I think that I was standing in pools of water in Tsogal last night for so long I'm surprised I haven't got swamp rot in my feet!

It was pretty good though last night. I went along to the Tsogal Run Hood and found a couple of people there. Before we knew it, we had a massive team of people to solve the age puzzle and all of us got a chance to get through the door and collect part of the strange 'donut' that forms on our Relto's. I have no idea what that thing is. It's like some sort of rotating reward thing.

We also headed over to Delin to help some new folk out with getting the half circle for that door too. It's nice to see so many new people running around. I'm sure not one of the die hard Explorers, but I've been here a fair while now.

Then again, it's not hard to feel at home down there in the Cavern, or off in the Ages. It's a real good bunch of people down here.

It's so great to see so many people back in the cavern. Yes, even the DRC. I hear that even Sharper has been around and tools Rils off to explore outside Neligahn. I think that's good that the community is being involved. There's still a lot of distrust between some people so I think it's great we're all finally working together.

Another reason we all have to work together is Delin and Tsogal! The new garden ages of the DRC. Boy was I surprised when I went to Delin and it was snowing! I would have taken a jacket if I'd known. Some awesome people showed up and we did the puzzle together. I hope I can find a group to help me out with Tsogal too! You need multiple people to solve the age really.

Tsogal

The Bahro have been pretty active recently... so much life in the Cavern and the Ages, it's really encouraging to see. I hope we get to see more of the Bahro soon. I hope we don't scare them.

I like Gahreesen. Well, it's scenery anyway. All those trees and waterfalls. I just don't like the actual Garrison. Ok, so the wall if fun (if somewhat confusing as TheFourthDoctor and I once discovered) but the building is generall a pain to explore. I suppose part of it was a prison afterall, so I think perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.

Gahreesen Prison

That I hate most about Gahreesen is the jumping. I imagine the pillar wasn't always that small as I can't imagine the D'ni leaping around like that. And if they didn't have Relto books or linking books on them, if they fell it'd be straight into the water and goodness knows what's down there. I've never let myself fall long enough to find out.

Collecting the pillars is always interesting. Listening to Yeesha, dissolving the pillar, then making that leap of faith into the stars. Jumping is the hard part. Falling is easy, you just fall. It's beautiful though, leaping into the stars...

Shapers Tree
Sharpers Tree

It has been three years. Three years since the DRC left the Cavern. Now they're back. So are we, although a lot of us never left. It was during the long awaited Town Hall meeting that it happened.

Dr Kodama was talkign to Laxman on his KI, as Laxman had noticed something strange in the lattice... then, all over the cavern, an ear splitting, echoing Bahro scream. Then the linking. Everyone was linked to Relto.

What happened? We still don't know. Perhaps... we never will really know. Was it the Bahro in pain, fear or anger linking us? Was it Yeesha? Was it something to do with our KI's or the lattice itself? Some other force we have yet to encounter? Whatever the case, it was most unusual.

Whatever went on with the lattice, it fried our KI's, so we've all been filing back to Gahreesen to pick up new ones. My new KI is 76711.

The DRC has put up barricades and taken a few things away. Some people are angry, but I understand where they're coming from. They're here to do the restoration and they want to make sure things are safe. I can live with that, I know I don't want to be walking along and suddenly have a floor give way or a ceiling collapse on me, Relto book or not. It's only in the last year that I've stopped wearing a hard hat in the City.
I'm re-taking Yeesha's journey. I have this feeling that something is about to begin. So now is the time to go through it all again, bring myself up to speed, re-learn those familiar locations... and wait to see what happens next.

One last thing... who put up Sharper's tree?
